Jennie will be talking about her process of writing at a monthly ‘Creative Writing Course in an Evening’ offered by the fabulous National Academy of Writing. Saturday 22 June 2013: Winchester New Books Readers’ Day
Jennie will be speaking about Red Joan on Saturday 22nd June at the New Books readers’ day in Winchester. There will be a panel discussion and then an opportunity to be part of a book group discussion.
Saturday 13 July, 5.30 pm: West Meon literature festival Jennie will be taking part in a fantastic spy-based evening at West Meon literature festival, starting with a panel discussion of Red Joan alongside Roger Hermiston (author of Greatest Traitor: The Secret Lives of Agent George Blake), Neil Root (author of Twentieth Century Spies), and Sinclair McKay (author of The Secret Life of Bletchley Park) before a screening of An Englishman Abroad, a film written by Alan Bennett and based on the true story of a chance meeting between Guy Burgess and actress Coral Browne in Moscow after his defection. Wednesday 21 August, 3.30 pm: Edinburgh Book Festival
Jennie will join Mark Mills (bestselling author of The Savage Garden and House of the Hanged) to talk about Red Joan as part of the international book festival at Edinburgh.
